Turku Pride 2025

Turku Pride parade marches for equality on Saturday 30.8! The gathering for the march starts at 11 and the parade starts at 12. The route of the parade and accessibility information will be released later. You can sign up as your own block for the parade or join the general block.

Turku Pride park party will be held on 30.08 at 13-16 in Puolalanpuisto. At the park party there will be speeches and a lot of noise for rainbow rights! At the park you’ll also get introduced to the activities of our partners.

For safety reasons the route of the parade will be published closer to Pride Day.

The area around the starting point of the parade is accessible by car. There is a pedestrian crossing between the parking lot and the starting point. The starting point can also be reached by bus.

There is no portable toilet at the starting point of the parade, but there is a café nearby that accepts bathroom passes. At the end of the route a toilet is available for marchers at ByTuulia beauty salon; but the salon is not accessible.

The route has been made to be as accessible as possible, so that there are no steep climbs or descents, obstacles that are difficult to get around, narrow spots, stairs or thresholds. The parade will be accompanied by general assistants who can assist with getting around in some places. They can be identified by their blue vests with ‘Yleisavustaja’ written on the back.

The second (2nd) block of the parade is intended for people who, for one reason or another, walk slower than average. This is to make sure that no one is left behind.

There may be, for example, electric scooters and bicycles along the route, which will be removed as the parade progresses. There are cobblestones and tiles along the route, some of which are loose.

No vehicles will be used in the parade and no loud music will be played by Turku Pride ry. Megaphones will be used in the parade, and participants may shout, play music from portable speakers, and make loud noises.

Interpreters will accompany the parade, and they will sign shouts into Finnish sign language.

We ask that you avoid strong perfumes and smoking in the immediate vicinity of others. However, we cannot guarantee this, so you may be exposed to strong odors during the parade and in the park.

The park is reached by a long hill and the terrain in the park is uneven and hilly.

The procession route is a little over 2 kilometers long.
